Do you get Enough Greens in your Diet?

Are you getting enough Greens in your diet?

If you said no,  you are not alone.  Which is why I wanted to talk to you today about the benefits of Greens Supplements and let you know that it’s likely a good investment for you to make to get some greens powder into your routine.  I will answer some of the common questions in this BLOG.

Let’s GO!

How do we make a quality Greens Supplement?

We start with Organic Fruits and vegetables, dry them, and then grind them down into a powder.  The difference with the brand I use is that  Unlike other greens products, we never add inexpensive fillers or bulking agents such as fiber, whole grasses, pectin, rice bran, and/or flax, which account for 40% to 60% of the content of most other greens products.  The green vegetables and brightly colored fruits also have not been oxidized by sunlight, or heat. Which makes them a SUPERIOR greens product

What are the benefits of Greens Supplements? -Greens increase your overall wellness - Greens can improve immune function as the nutrients inside the vegetables can help with Immune responses. - Greens act as a great source of fiber for your GUT as well as your Friendly Bacteria (probiotics)

  • Greens may help with bowel motility

  • Greens can help you detox as the nutrients support proper function of the liver, and kidneys.

  • Greens can help balance the pH of your urine which helps you stay more alkaline.  ( blood pH doesn't change that much when measured)

  • Greens are excellent antioxidants, which help act like fire extinguishers in your body, especially if you are chronically stressed.

  • Greens may help lower blood pressure.  A study of 40 people using 2 TBSP of greens per day for 90 days lowered blood pressure by 8% compared to Placebo along with a healthy diet and exercise.  Resource, here https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19703665/

The Bottom line

Greens powders are an amazing way to get jam packed nutrition and help you fill in some of your nutritional gaps.  When used daily, they pack a punch in your overall nutrition profile.  Greens however are NOT a substitute for a poor diet.  You should strive to hit your 4-5 servings of greens from food per day. But if you consistently fall short of that, it’s time to look at a greens supplement.I personally use my Paleo Greens Supplement in my smoothie every morning.  It is super easy to dissolve, helps me get my greens quota per day, and I even have my kids eating it when I add it to their energy bites that they eat.  Want more Recipes using your Paleo Greens?
